Walter Lee Whiting
No services were reported for Sequim resident Walter Lee Whiting, who died Nov. 15, 2009, at the age of 85 of lung cancer.
He was born Dec. 8, 1923, in Olympia to Walter and Lucile Bunce Whiting.
He married Eleanor "Andi" Inez Anderson on Sept. 11, 1948, in Seattle.
He enlisted in the Seabees in 1941 and stayed until six months after the war ended.
After attending some college, he left to enter the family business in Los Angeles, Calif. He also worked in appliance repair at General Electric in Seattle, then Boeing from 1951-1976. He started at Boeing as a buyer, then worked as an engineer.
With his wife, he organized and led a youth group at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Bellevue from 1972-1976.
After he took early retirement from Boeing for health reasons, he moved to Sequim, where he set up an electronics repair business.
Mr. Whiting restarted and maintained the Sequim chapter of REACT from 1981-1985.
The Whitings became snowbirds in 1986, dividing their time between Arizona and the Northwest for 15 years before returning to Sequim.
He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor "Andi" Anderson; sons Walter Whiting and Lawrence Whiting; daughter-in-law Danette Stanton; daughter and son-in-law Cathy Whiting and Kevin Furey; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Barbara M. Williams
No services will be held at the request of Diamond Point/Sequim resident Barbara M. Williams, who died Nov. 20, 2009, at the age of 68.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
She was born Dec. 14, 1940, in Wisconsin to Robert and Alice G. Shaw Bennett and was raised in Ohio.
She attended San Jose State University in California and retired from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, where she was supervisor of the apheresis unit.
She had an avid interest in nature and gave a great deal of her time to the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, the Japanese garden at the University of Washington Arboretum and Olympic National Park.
She is survived by Pat Taynton and Gail Early of Sequim; Julia and David McNeill of Mount Vernon; Curt and Suzanne Dailey Howard of Tonasket; Mary Ann and Byron Sutton of Gold Bar; and Marilyn Murphy of Bainbridge Island.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Friends of Dungeness Wildlife Refuge.

Douglas G. Watts
Former Port Angeles resident Douglas G. Watts died Nov. 15, 2009, at the age of 90 in Florida.
He was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Raised in Port Angeles, he was a veteran who served 30 years in the Navy and the Army.
His wife, Roberta Davis Watts, preceded him in death.
He was a Master Mason, Noble of the Shrine, and patron of the Sequim chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Sequim.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Melba Watts of Sarasota, Fla.; sister Doreen Marchetti of Everett; three grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

Richard Sheridan Stuntz
A service was held for Port Angeles resident Richard Sheridan Stuntz, who died Nov. 22, 2009, at the age of 36.
He was born Oct. 19, 1973.

Patsy Ruth Van Dusen
A service was held for
Sequim resident Patsy Ruth Van Dusen, who died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease on Nov. 22, 2009, at the age of 71.
She was born Nov. 27, 1937, in Pinola, Miss., to Nathan and Wessie Orene Kennedy Traylor. She graduated from Magee High School in Mississippi.
She married Paul Van Dusen on June 15, 1963, in Spokane.
Mrs. Van Dusen was an audit clerk with BellSouth/AT&T in Birmingham, Ala. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Gideons Auxiliary and Communication Workers of America.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Van Dusen of Sequim; sister Fannie Laura Herrington of Magee; and a niece.

Gerald Martin Page
A service will be announced at a later date for Port Angeles resident Gerald Martin Page, who died Nov. 19, 2009, at the age of 53 of sudden cardiac arrest.
He was born Nov. 12, 1956, in Port Angeles.

Private family services will be held at a later date for Sequim resident George Wayne Burbidge, who died Nov. 23, 2009, at the age of 88.
He was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Peoria, Ill., to James Arthur and Anna Bjorklund Burbidge.

Agnes 'Pat' Pascale
A memorial service for former Sequim resident Agnes "Pat" Pascale will be held at a later date. She died Nov. 20, 2009, in Phoenix, Ore., of cancer.
She was born April 4, 1930.
She retired to SunLand in 1990 from her mostly overseas career with the United States Air Force.
She was co-founder of the Sequim Senior Singles Club, an active member in American Contract Bridge League, the Italian club and St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son Nicholas; brother Larry Pascale; sisters Mary O'Brien
and Angie Ford; and a
grandson.
Harriette Lorraine Hall-Adams
Harriet Lorraine Hall-Adams passed away peacefully at her home on November 20, 2009 of natural cause after having two strokes. She was 85.
She was born September 27, 1924 on the Dungeness Spit. She was the daughter of Jacob Franklin Hall of Jamestown Tribe and Flora C. Sicade-Hall of Puyallup Tribe. She married Harvey Joseph Adams of Suquamish Tribe, he preceded her death.
She was one of the first Native Americans to graduate from Sequim High School. She served on many tribal boards and committees and as acting Tribal Chair. She retired from Sequim School District after 20 years of service as a custodian.
She is survived by sons Harvey Adams of Suquamish, Phil Adams of Port Angeles, Matt Adams of Sequim, Paul Adams of Port Angeles, Pat Adams of Sequim, John Adams of Sequim and Robert Adams of Tigard, Ore., also daughters Florence Monson of Sequim, Ann Adams of Sequim, Margaret Adams of Sequim, Mary Adams of Poulsbo and Susan Carter of Port Angeles; 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held on Mon., November 30, 2009 at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. Victor Olvida presided.
