Rose Reisman
A memorial service for Rose Reisman will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, at the Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 73 Howe Road, between Sequim and Port Angeles.
Her family and Chavurah host the service.
Anyone wishing to say a few words about her is welcome to stand up at the service and speak.
The Rev. John E. White
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Dungeness Community Church, Sequim, for Sequim resident the Rev. John E. White.
He died Dec. 20, 2009, at the age of 82.
He was born Aug. 7, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Evelyn Alva Anderson and John Ellis White Sr.
He married Clara Oberg.
Albin Thomas 'Tom' Barnes
A service will be announced at a later date for Sequim resident Albin Thomas "Tom" Barnes, who died Dec. 21, 2009, at the age of 76.
He was born July 23, 1933.
Neptune Society was in charge of arrangements.
Carolyn Claudia Linth
May 16,1919-December 9, 2009
Carolyn Claudia Linth, 90, passed so very peacefully of age-related causes, being carried to her Heavenly Home and into the arms of a loving Savior, December 9, in Sequim, WA.
Carolyn was born May 16, 1919 in Lowry, MN to Claudius Cornelius Middents and Emma Marie Reusch-Middents. Carolyn attended McAllister College in St. Paul and graduated from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis where she received her degree in teaching. She married Vernon E. Linth on July 27, 1944; a Naval Submarine Officer serving in the Pacific Theatre. She did a full career of meritorious military service as "Navy wife, the toughest job in the Navy." She deftly moved her growing family many a time, all the while keeping the home hearth aglow.
Carolyn extended the gracious gift of friendship in the many places she made a new home, she was a resource and model for living a Christian life in an uncertain world. She lived with unwavering faith stating that in her life alone volumes could be written recording prayers and the answering of them.
Carolyn and Vernon retired to the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in 1973. Carolyn became a member of Peninsula Evangelical Friends Church and enjoyed singing and teaching Sunday School for her church family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Vernon who, prior to passing away in January of 2009, assured her that he was with her all the way. We, their family, find great joy in knowing they are together always. Carolyn is survived by son John and wife Mary Linth; daughter Claudia and husband Glen Smith; son David and wife Karen Linth; daughter Holly Johnson, daughter Jennifer Linth; son Jared and wife Diane Linth; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Burial was at Sequim View Cemetery, there will be a Memorial Celebration at a later date.
