Myrtle Lemley
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, 925 N. Sequim Ave., for Sequim resident Myrtle Lemley. The Rev. Jack Anderson will be the officiant.
Mrs. Lemley died Nov. 14, 2011, at the age of 90.
She was born Nov. 9, 1921, in New Haven, Minn., to Andrew and Carrie Benson Romo.
She married Harold Lemley on Sept. 2, 1940.
She was a lifetime member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4760 and a member of Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Marvin and Joyce Lemley of Redding, Calif.; daughters Dee Lemley of Fredricksburg, Va., and Mary Griffith of Sequim; daughter and son-in-law Kathi and Jeff Hamilton of Tacoma; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic.

Mary McDade Beck
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Sequim Community Church, 950 N. Fifth Ave., for Sequim resident Mary McDade Beck.
Dr. Scott Koenigsaecker is the officiant.
Mrs. Beck died Nov. 11, 2011, at the age of 78.
She was born June 30, 1934, in Okema, Okla., to Isiah and Bertha McDade.
She married Harold Beck in Tehachapi, Calif. They were married for nearly 60 years.
She lived in Washington for 43 years and enjoyed traveling in her motorhome, camping, fishing, and touring more than 30 states with her husband.
She is survived by her husband, Harold; son and daughter-in-law David and Misty; daughters and son-in-law Sandy and Daniel; Jan, and Debi; brother Kenneth; three grandsons; three granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by six sisters.
Jeanne Florence Mackenzie
A memorial Mass was read for Sequim resident Jeanne Florence Mackenzie, who died Nov. 15, 2011, at the age of 86.
She was born Dec. 25, 1924, in Alhambra, Calif., to Lawrence and Margaret Egan Glassco.
She married Alan Cameron Mackenzie on Sept. 29, 1946.
She graduated from Hoover High School in Glendale, Calif., and the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts.
She and her husband moved to Montana in 1981 and raised Angus cattle and Suffolk sheep on a ranch until they moved to Sequim in 1998.
She is survived by her son Ian Mackenzie of Lakewood, Colo., two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan.

Dr. Rev. Bruce D. Erickson
Family memorial services will be held at a later date for former Sequim resident Dr. Rev. Bruce D. Erickson, who died Nov. 12, 2011, at the age of 69 in Chanhassen, Minn.
He was born March 22, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minn. He was married to Ardis Erickson for 40 years.
He graduated from Bethel College and Seminary in Minnesota and Fuller Seminary in California. He was pastor of churches in Columbus, Ohio; San Diego, Calif.; and Seattle. He was co-founder and director of SEED Ministries with his wife and served as a visiting teacher in several seminaries. He enjoyed working with young people, sports and hiking.
He traveled around the world in 1980 with his family, speaking in many venues.
He and his wife co-authored many training manuals used in ministry with The Salvation Army and other organizations locally, nationally and internationally.
He is survived by his wife, Ardis; daughters and sons-in-law Kim and Mike Rathbun of Portland, Ore., and Kelly and Jon Burke of Coupeville; brother and sister-in-law Rick and Sandy Erickson of Chanhassen, Minn.; sister and brother-in-law Jan and Marlin Woolwage of Chaska, Minn.; five grandchildren, and four nephews and nieces.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date for Port Angeles resident Claudia E. Thorpe, who died Nov. 12, 2011, at the age of 74.
She was born Dec. 30, 1936, in San Jose, Calif.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date for Port Angeles resident Darcie Ann Gasche, who died Nov. 10, 2011, at the age of 54 of cancer.
She was born Oct.1, 1957, in Port Angeles.

Jeannette I. Turman
A memorial service will be at a later date for Port Angeles resident Jeannette I. Turman, who died Nov. 17, 2011, at the age of 84.
She was born Nov. 22, 1926, in Ellensburg.

Virginia "Ginger" Alexander
April 17, 1943 – November 16, 2011
Ginger passed away in her sleep Wednesday morning, November 16, 2011, due to renal failure and other complications, with her loving family at her side.
Ginger was born April 17, 1943, in Joliet, Ill. After graduating from high school, Ginger worked in retail in the Joliet area. On March 6, 1965, she married Don Alexander, whom she met in high school. She continued working in retail and the family business while raising two daughters.
The family moved to Sequim in 1976, making it their permanent home. She and the girls loved exploring their new home and she delighted in finding an agate, sea urchin, starfish, and whatever else she could find. She loved beachcombing and rock hunting.
In 1981, she became involved in museum work and became director of the Clallam County Museum in 1982. She resigned that post to spend more time with her daughters. After the girls grew a little older, she became involved in the Cultural Arts Center and the Sequim Dungeness Museum and was responsible in the combining of the Sequim Dungeness Museum, The Art Center, and the Dungeness Schoolhouse into one workable group. She was the Director of the Sequim Dungeness Museum and Arts Center of the Dungeness Valley for a number of years before retiring in order to care for her aging parents.
Over the years, Ginger also was involved in the Clallam County Fair and spent five terms on the Board. She was a life member of the Sequim Prairie Grange and spent some summers as the Director of the Grange Camp and many other activities. Ginger was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was also a Sunday school teacher. She was also active in the PEO and the Clallam County Republican Party.
After spending about five years full time RVing, she spent the last two and a half years in Sequim to facilitate medical treatment.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Aileen Feil, and nephew Michael Feil.
Ginger is survived by her husband of 46 years, Don, daughters Collette and Dawn, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and brother Michael Feil.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, 540 E. 8th Street, Port Angeles WA 98362 and/or The North West Kidney Center, 700 Broadway, Seattle WA 98122.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 21, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Avenue, Sequim.
