Robert A. Cruzan

There will be a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. today, July 11, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 209 W. 11th St., Port Angeles, for Port Angeles resident Robert A. Cruzan, who died July 1, 2012, at the age of 86. 

The Rev. Thomas Nathe officiates and burial will be at Oceanview Cemetery.

Mr. Cruzan was born Nov. 1, 1925.

Drennan & Ford Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ted ‘Swede’ Larsen 

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today, July 11, at Saxon Cemetery in Acme for Sequim resident Ted “Swede” Larsen, who died July 4, 2012, at the age of 83.

He was born May 18, 1929, in Bellingham to Robert and Edla Larsen. He was an avid golfer and outdoorsman.

He was preceded in death by his sister Astrid Berry and his stepdaughter Leslie Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, of Sequim; sister Jonlyn Hansen; sons and daughters-in-law Bob and Kelli Larsen and Tom and Tanna Larsen, of Deming; daughter and son-in-law Darlene and Gary Varang, of Deming; daughters Carol Larsen and Ann Larsen, of Deming; stepdaughter Anna Marie Buckenmeyer; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law Jami and Greg Engholm; 27 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Deming Logging Show, PO Box 837, Deming, WA 98244.

Betty Jane Keyes

Sequim resident Betty Jane Keyes died June 10, 2012, at the age of 85.

She was born March 3, 1927, in St. Paul, Minn., to Brant and Jane Adeline Newland Dunham. 

A military wife and homemaker, she married Frank Keyes on Aug. 5, 1944. She moved to Sequim in 1971 and was active in the Sequim Hospital Guild. 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Joseph Rees, of Woodinville; son and daughter-in-law Doug and Claudia Keyes, of Sequim; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Sequim View Cemetery. Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
