Kenneth E. Simon
Kenneth Eugene Simon, 77, passed away at home on September 11, 2012. He was born December 18, 1934 to Frank and Vivian Simon of St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1946 the family moved to Washington and Ken went through the school system of Kent. He graduated from Kent Meridian High School in 1952. He worked at Kent Motors as a journeyman autobody and fender man. Ken Married Carolyn Enevolb in 1954 and had two sons, Kenneth and Kurtis. They divorced.
Ken was drafted into the army in 1960, served two years, then discharged as SP4 E/4. Ken went to Seattle Fire Dept., and worked at station E14. In 1965 married Vivian Bushman/Feldhaus. He adopted her three sons and lived many years in Auburn, WA where he built their home on 2 1/2 acres of land with a horse, ducks, dogs, cat, loads of fun for all including a zip-line too! An AWSOME DAD and husband.
During his career as a Seattle Firefighter Ken was promoted to Lt. in 1967 and transferred to E30-34 and 36 in 1972. He retired on disability in 1980.
On November 21,1992 Ken married Beverly May West. Her three children call him PAPA! Ken was a councilman at Black Diamond Presbyterian Church and also at Sequim Valley Foursquare Church of Sequim.
Ken is survived by wife, Beverly; sons Kenneth (Debbie), Kurtis (Claire), Jack, Randall (Cherri), Mark (Lela). Also stepchildren Bradley (Sheryl), Meg (Rick),and Elliott. 15 grandchhildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Granddaughter Laura Simon Quentin died in 2009.
