Berendina Favre

May 6, 1923 – February 15, 2016

Bertie, as she was known by many, passed away at 92.

She was born in the Hague, Holland, daughter of Johanna Maaskant & Albert Favre. Her step-father was Jampie den Hartog. During her life in Holland & Indonesia, she trained & worked in hospitals.

When Bertie came to California, she became an American Citizen in 1969 and worked many years as an x-ray technician. In 1997. Bertie moved to Sequim, Washington to live near friends in an area of beauty that reminded her of Holland.

Everywhere Bertie went she made & became dear friends. She always lit up the room with her smile and her sincere welcome, “I’m SO happy to see you! I haven’t seen you in ages!” She was such a positive person, appreciative of everything.
