Tonie C. Scott

Tonie C. Scott, 68, of Sequim, died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis on March 16, 2018, in Sequim.

Scott was born March 6, 1950.

A service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Sequim Valley Foursquare Church, 909 Old Olympic Highway, with burial at Sequim View Cemetery.

Cornelis (Neil) Clark Eckerson

December 19, 1936 – March 10, 2018

Cornelis, Dutch for Cornelius, (Neil) Clark Eckerson was born December 19, 1936 in Los Angeles, California. He passed away on March 10, 2018 in Sequim, Washington. Lung cancer got the best of him.

Neil served in the Army in the Signal Core attaining grade SGT (P) E-5. He entered August 31, 1959 at Fort Hood, Texas serving in the States for four years. He spent three additional years in France where he met his first wife who was British. His termination date from the Army was August 30, 1965. He and first wife moved to Los Angeles, California where his first wife passed away in 1989.

Neil married his second and surviving wife in Los Angeles, California on March 21 1992. He retired from the Los Angeles Airport as a Telecommunications Specialist in 1997. He and his spouse moved to Sequim from Los Angeles in 2003.

He is survived by his spouse and her living eight siblings and spouses whose hearts he won. He is survived by two brothers, as well. Most people found Neil to be honorable and charming. He liked people. Neil is gone, but not forgotten.
