Moonyeen Rose Barczewski

February 27, 1936 – November 7, 2018

Moonyeen Rose Barczewski, 82, of Sequim, passed away on November 7, 2018, with her family at her side. She was born to parents, Laurence Hay Turner and Edna Turner on February 27, 1936, in San Diego, California. She is survived by her husband, Frank Barczewski Sr., and their four children, Frank Barczewski Jr., David Barczewski, Laurie (Wayne) Dake and Lisa (Rick) Galbraith. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kim Lilly.

Moonyeen graduated from Mercy College of Nursing in San Diego, California, and received her nursing degree in 1957. She married Frank Barczewski Sr., on September 7, 1957 and lived in Sequim, for the past 10 years. Moonyeen was a registered nurse and served in that capacity for many years until she retired.

Moonyeen will be remembered by her energy and outgoing manner. She loved people and enjoyed talking to everyone she met. She enjoyed friends in her church and singing in the choir with her husband Frank, highlighted by their trip to the Vatican where they sang for the Pope. She loved traveling the world and enjoyed the time they spent in Puerto Vallarta. Moonyeen’s many hobbies included swimming, biking, hiking, cross country skiing, camping, horseback riding and appreciating the beauty of the outdoors. She loved art and enjoyed painting. Her beautiful acrylic, oil and water color paintings are cherished by her family. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved each and everyone of them.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
