Bite the bullet with bond

While I am a senior and educational issues are no longer part of my personal agenda, I do believe in good schools for our children and grandchildren. That is our legacy for the future.

We all know that the American education system is slipping in quality. It is a dangerous trend and one that we don’t want to see happen in Sequim.I have lived here for four years and this is an amazingly special place. I’ve enjoyed the natural scenery, the wonderful places to walk, the multitude of spiritual and cultural opportunities.

Sequim is great. We need for our schools to be great, too! For our young ones to have safe places to study and play, well-equipped classrooms and schools located where the growing population needs them to be.

Yes, there is some sacrifice for all of us in voting “Yes” on the school bond issue, but we need to bite the bullet and do it! For the kids, for the grandkids, for the future!
