Letters to the Editor

Kudos from Broom Busters

Broom Busters II, a River Center Rally team, wishes to thank all the volunteers who joined us pulling the invasive Scotch broom along the Olympic Discovery Trail.

The group totaled 149 volunteer hours.

Thanks to the groups who supplied us with equipment: the Dungeness River Audubon Center; the Peninsula Trails Coalition; Clallam County Noxious Weed Program, as well as individuals. Thanks to Sequim’s Domino’s Pizza which supplied us with our celebratory pizzas on our last day (May 28).

And many thanks to those who gave donations supporting the educational programs at Dungeness River Audubon Center and maintaining Railroad Bridge Park.

Gretha and Doug Davis
