Soroptimist International of Sequim selected Gabriela Marcy and Meredith Roberts as Students of the Month for February and March.
Students are selected based on academic excellence, community involvement, athletic achievements and citizenship.
Marcy, a senior at Sequim High School, was a cast member of the senior class play. She is a Link Crew leader, helping freshmen acclimate to the Sequim High School campus. She volunteers at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club and Sequim Lavender Festival. She hopes to attend Eastern Washington University in the fall and become a child psychologist. Her long-term goal is to work at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Roberts, also a Sequim High senior, is enrolled in advanced placement and honors classes. She volunteers at the Sequim Food Bank, tutors high school students and plans school events such as the senior ball and graduation. She plans to enroll at Washington and Lee University in Virginia, to major in psychology and become an adolescent psychologist.
