Sequim band, flag team host fundraising car washes
Sequim High School band and flag team is having two more car washes this summer to raise money for upcoming trips.
The car wash dates are July 31 and Aug. 21.
All car washes from 9 a.m.-
3 p.m. near Tarcisio Italian Place, 609 W. Washington St.
Applications available for continuing education scholarships
Soroptimist International of Sequim is accepting applications for three continuing education scholarships.
Applicants must be female graduates of Sequim High School or have a legal address within the Sequim School District. They also need to have completed one year of college or equivalent and plan to be enrolled in school for the fall of 2010. Applications for these $1,000 scholarships are available online at www.sisequim.com or may be picked up at Sequim Village Glass in Carlsborg or at McHugh Realtors in Sequim.
Completed applications must be postmarked by July 15.
Exchange program seeks host families
The ASSE international student exchange program seeks host families for boys and girls from a variety of countries across the globe. Students are 15-18 years old. They are a set of academically select students and speak English.
ASSE students are fully insured and bring their own personal spending money.

Youth for Understanding seeks families for exchange students
Youth For Understanding, a nonprofit international exchange program, is seeking volunteer families in the Sequim area to host international high school exchange students for the 2010-2011 school year.
