Community church hosts aerobics classes

Sequim Community Church (950 N. Fifth Ave.) hosts intermediate step aerobics, chair/seated aerobics and strength training classes each week.

Intermediate step aerobics are at 9 a.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, followed by low-impact floor aerobics at 10:30 a.m.

Intermediate-to-advanced strength training is 9 a.m. each Tuesday and Thursday, followed by chair aerobics/seated aerobics at 11 a.m.

Batting tourney

slated for Saturday

Sequim Baseball hosts its second annual One and Two-Man Hitting Tournament at the batting cage facility at 775 W. Washington St.

Cost is $10 per player; fee includes a barbecue. Prizes go to the top three finishers/teams.

The tourney starts at 10 a.m.

Fly-tying classes,

seminars set

Waters West, 140 W. Front St., Port Angeles, hosts Intro. to Fly Tying classes this winter.

All materials are provided, including tools and vises.

Classes cost $30 per person, are limited to six people and include five-plus hours of instruction.

For "Basic Steelhead Flies," the schedule is 3-5:30 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m. on Jan. 28, and the same hours on Feb. 4.

Waters West also hosts a series of free fly-tying seminars each Saturday at 10 a.m.
