Indoor soccer leagues planned for January

Officials are accepting registration forms for the annual Peninsula College indoor soccer league that starts in January.

The league features three divisions: one for competitive players, one for recreational players and a women-only division.

Games are five-on-five with two, 25-minute halves. Games are played Sunday afternoons (or Monday nights, if needed) at the Peninsula College gym, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles, from Jan. 10-March 14.

Cost is $30 per player or $225 per team.

Applications and fees must be received by Dec. 30.

Gymnastics club opens registration

Klahhane Gymnastics is taking applications for new students.

Classes are available at all levels for instruction in gymnastics, tumbling and trampoline from 18 months to adult.

Students are encouraged to register before the holidays for the optimal choice of class times.

Paek gets first ace

A.C. Paek of Port Angeles sank an ace at The Cedars at Dungeness on Dec. 9, the golfer's first hole-in-one.

Paek used a wedge to drive the 117-year eighth hole at The Cedars.
