Lacrosse club hosts youth drop-in sessions

Starting next week, the Olympic Mountaineers Lacrosse Club will offer Come-Try-It-Out sessions for students in grades 7-12.

These free drop-in sessions are set for Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 12-Nov. 18, for one hour in the early evening.

At the end of the sessions, players from Port Angeles take on players from Sequim.

In Sequim, the sessions will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Sequim Boys & Girls Club gymnasium, 400 W. Fir St.

In Port Angeles, the sessions will be from 6-7 p.m. in the Roosevelt School gym.

"If you've never played lacrosse, now's the time to come try it out," club Mountaineers president Julie Dostie said. "We'll provide the equipment."
