Sequim seniors Alex Jenkins and Audrey Lichten ran to top-20 finishes at the Westside Classic cross country meet Saturday in Tacoma, punching their tickets to the class 2A state meet in Pasco this weekend.

Lichten finished 10th overall, completing the American Lake Golf Course 5,000-meter path in 19 minutes, 20 seconds.

Jenkins finished in 16:57, good for 17th overall.

Teammate Adrian Clifford, seeking his first trip to state, finished 37th overall in 17:37.

Sequim's girls team, which took the Olympic League's fourth and final playoff berth to the district meet, finished 12th.

Olympic League girls champion Kingston took home the district crown as well, behind individual champion Marina Roberts.

Kingston's Nicholas Schippers won the boys' title as his Bucs finished second as a team behind Lindbergh.
