Sequim boys basketball escaped with a close 61-58 win Tuesday night against Bremerton.

Through the game the Wolves held the lead despite Bremerton's surge in the fourth period when they outscored Sequim 27-17.

Head coach Greg Glasser said after the game that a win is a win and they played similarly scrappy teams at a recent Las Vegas tournament.

Glasser said the Wolves will face a similar opponent in league leaders Olympic (8-0 in league) at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at home.

"They are teams that can score in bunches," he said.

Sequim's lead fluctuated in out of double digits through three quarters and only became close in the fourth period.

Jayson Brocklesby led all scorers with 24 for the Wolves and Gabe Carter came near a triple-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Wolves move to 7-1 in league play and take possession of second place.
