Brocklesby named among state’s best

Sequim High School’s Jayson Brocklesby capped an epic final season on the hard court last week, being named to the Associated Press All-State boys basketball team.

The Sequim athlete joined fellow senior Quentin Phillips of Olympic High School on the all-state second team.

Brocklesby averaged 20.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and two steals per game as the Wolves advanced to the state 2A tournament in March.

Brocklesby wound up second on the Wolves’ all-time list for points and steals.

Corey Langerveld of Pullman was named the state 2A Player of the Year.
