The visiting Sequim Wolves took any mystery out of their Olympic League game at Kingston early.

Sequim already had a 9-4 lead before a 10-run fourth inning blew the game wide open in a 19-4 win at Kingston on April 18.

Eight Wolves had hits, led by Brett Wright’s 3-for-4, two RBI day and Evan Hurn, who was 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and three runs scored.

Daniel Harker, Dusty Bates and Nigel Christian also had two hits each in the win against a struggling Buccaneers squad.

Harker was the beneficiary on the mound, giving up just two earned runs and striking out three in five innings. Dylan Lott, who had a double and two RBIs at the plate from the leadoff spot, tossed an inning of scoreless relief, striking out three Bucs.

The win kept Sequim in a tie for first place with North Kitsap at the end of last week.

Non-league loss

Sequim dropped a 9-5 decision at home to Fife in a non-league, six-inning affair on April 17.

Trojan pitchers walked nine Wolves but held Sequim to just five hits.

Lott and Wright paced the Sequim offense with a hit and RBI each. Layton Pace added an RBI while Hurn had three steals.

Fife tagged Christian with the loss. Christian went four innings, giving up four earned runs on five hits and four walks, striking out two.

Daniel Peough had two RBIs for Fife. He also earned the save in relief of Trojan starter Kyle Mozzone.
