Sequim High School Equestrian Team riders came back from Wenatchee with six event medals after solid showings at the state meet May 15-18.
Katie Adolphsen earned a gold medal in Steer Daubing while Ady Crosby took home silver medals in Keyhole and Figure Eight.
Crosby added a silver medal with teammate Clara Duncan in Team Sorting while Cody Chase earned silver in In-Hand Trail.
Overall, Sequim riders earned 18 top-10 finishes in 18 events.
We didnt do as well as I had hoped; the weather was a factor, coach Terri Winters said, noting the 102-degree Wenatchee heat on Sundays rides. That really was hard on the kids.
Crosby received the Washington High School Equestrian Teams scholarship for 2008, a $500 award.
