SMS star student shines

Sequim Middle School's 2008-2009 Associated Student Body president Gabriel Carter was selected as Sequim Sunrise Rotary's Student of the Month for October.
His parents are Jeff and Chrysalis Carter.
Carter was born and raised in Sequim. He thinks all of his classes are great but if he had to pick favorite subjects, they would be history and science.
Carter's favorite sport is basketball. He enjoys playing the drums and snowboarding, but his true love is astronomy.
When he graduates he would love to get a scholarship for basketball, play Division I, and then get drafted overseas or to the NBA. If this doesn't work, Carter's plan B would be to go to a nice college, get a master's degree and then "play it by ear."
