Port Townsend's Don Young defended his 10k title and Katie Klevens won the women's 10k championship at Saturday's Sequim RunOff.
Middle schooler Adrian Clifford won the RunOff two-mile race for the first time and Susan Weidemier repeated as the women's two-mile champ.
The 31st-annual race saw 194 runners and walkers toe
the line for 10k and two-mile races that featured a reduced $10 entry fee and no event T-shirt.
Runners and walkers saw overcast skies keep the courses cool, and Young topped his 2008 title time by more than 30 seconds as he out-raced Dave Elger by nearly two minutes. Klevens finished in 41:35 - good for eighth overall - and a full two minutes better than runner-up Monica Brodhun.
Clifford, a track & field runner for Sequim Middle School, won his first RunOff event while Weidemier improved her 2008 title championship run by one minute, 14 seconds. Like last year, Weidemier placed second overall.
