Sequim's new youth football organization, the Sequim Wolf Pack, announced last week they will have three teams outfitted and ready to play in the newly formed North Olympic Youth Football League in September.

Last minute sign-ups, physicals and equipment issue are scheduled for

9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St.

Practice begins Monday, Aug. 16, at the Sequim High School football practice field. Youth between 6-12 years of age are eligible to play. Registration fee is $150. Forms can be downloaded from the team's website at www.sequimwolfpack.com.

Birth certificates and physical examinations are required of all players to complete their registration process on Saturday.

Dr. Asma A. Weber is scheduled to be at the registration between 9-11 a.m. for physical examinations. Cost of exams is $20 per player.

The Sequim Wolf Pack youth football program gives local children opportunity to learn and play adult-supervised tackle football. Players are assigned to one of three age-level teams. The Prep Team is for youths 6-8 years old; Junior Varsity, for 9-10-year-olds: and Varsity is for youngsters ages 11-12 years old.

The Sequim Wolf Pack teams compete with teams in their divisions from Port Townsend, Chimacum, Port Angeles, Neah Bay and Forks.

Wolf Pack scholarship funds for needy families have been exhausted, so individuals and businesses who would like to help are encouraged to contact treasurer David McHugh through the teams's website.
