Sequim’s softball squad blasted three more league foes last week, collecting 48 hits and scoring 52 runs in the process, as the Wolves remain undefeated.
Sequim started the week with a 17-0 drubbing of North Kitsap in Poulsbo on April 18, rocking Viking pitchers for nine runs in the first inning.
Demiree Briones, Lea Hopson and Rylleigh Zbaraschuk each hit home runs. Zbaraschuk was 3-for-3 and scored four times. Bailey Rhodefer was 2-for-2 with a double, triple and three runs scored. Briones worked the first three innings without giving up a hit and Columbia Haupt finished off the job with two innings of one-hit ball.
Klahowya pushed Sequim to seven innings on April 20, but the Wolves still managed a 12-4 victory after scoring 10 runs in the first four innings.
Cindy Miller went 4-for-5 with a triple, three RBIs and three runs scored, Lea Hopson had a home run and triple and Briones added three hits.
Briones worked all seven innings, striking out seven Eagles.
Playing at home Friday afternoon, Sequim gave hometown fans plenty of reasons to cheer in a 23-5 rout of the Olympic Trojans. Sequim was up 12-0 before the fourth inning started and cashed in for another 11 runs.
Maddy Zbaraschuk was 4-for-4 with 4 RBIs and three runs, Hopson scored five times, Haupt had two hits and Alexas Besand was 3-for-5.
Briones picked up the win for her 13th of the 2011 campaign.
In a sloppy game, the teams combined for 13 errors.
Sequim was scheduled to host Kingston on April 27 and play at North Mason on April 29.
Sequim hosts Bremerton on May 3, plays at Port Townsend May 4 and host Port Angeles on May 5.
