The Crosscutters 18U baseball squad scored early and often in an 11-1 thrashing of Bremerton on June 30 in Sequim.

Anthony Bitegeko, Lane Dotson and Justin Porter had two hits each in the 14-hit Crosscutter attack, while Porter and Dane Bradow drove in two runs each in the big win.

Andy Johnston threw six innings for the victory, striking out six along the way. Bremerton managed just two hits and committed nine errors.

“These athletes are gelling together perfectly and are in great midseason form,” Crosscutter coach John Qualls said. “The boys are aggressive on the bases, but smart. They are picking up the fundamental flaws of the pitcher, therefore stealing bases at a high level. We have adapted to swinging the wood bat really well at this point.”
