A late-game rally by North Kitsap led to Sequim’s first league loss of the season, but the Wolves didn’t let it fester for long.

One day after their 6-3 loss to NK, Sequim batters ripped Bremerton pitchers for 10 hits in five innings for a 10-0, mercy rule-shortened win in Sequim on April 11.

Brianna Dominguez, Shelby Jones, Jayla Julmist and Bobbi Sparks paced the Sequim offense with two hits apiece, as Sequim scored one run in the first and second innings, then erupted for four runs in each of the third and fourth frames.

Sequim pitcher Isabelle Dennis allowed just three hits in five innings for the shutout.

Playing host the NK’s Vikings a day earlier, the Wolves battled to a 3-3 tie before the Vikings broke it open in the sixth innings with back-to-back-to-back-to-back hits for three runs.

Sequim threatened in the seventh inning with two on base but couldn’t score.

Jones pitched for Sequim, giving up six runs on seven hits.

Ashley Cate led the SHS offense with two of Sequim’s eight hits. Sparks had a first inning triple and Dennis added an RBI single.

Sarah Smith went the distance for North Kitsap on the mound.

An April 13 match-up at Olympic was rained out and postponed to May 2.
