Fundraising regatta is Sept. 16

The Sequim Bay Yacht Club sponsors its 25th Reach for Hospice Regatta on Saturday, Sept. 16, at John Wayne Marina. Sailing races begin at noon on Sequim Bay and are accompanied by fundraising to benefit the Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County. A potluck and awards ceremony follows at 5 p.m.

The Fred Tidyman Trophy will be awarded to the fastest boat and crew in each division. The Mickey McGuffin Sportsmanship award will be presented to a SBYC club member who has contributed most to the sport and spirit of sailing.

Sailors wishing to race may register online using the US Sailing’s Regatta Network at www.regattanetwork.com/event/15399 or may register in person at 10 a.m. on the day of the event in the clubroom at John Wayne Marina.
