If league coaches didn’t know it before they probably suspect it now: Sequim post Jayla Julmist has some skills.

The SHS sophomore put up a triple-double last week in the Wolves’ 76-28 rout of visiting Bremerton on Dec. 11. Julmist tallied 14 points, 13 rebounds and 10 steals to go along with five assists.

Hope Glasser and Melissa Porter led the Wolves in scoring with 17 points each while Kalli Wiker chipped in 14.

Bremerton, led by Roxanna Dunklin’s seven points, kept it close after one quarter (15-9) before Sequim went on a 23-3 run in the second quarter and out-scored the Knights 27-9 in the third.

A Dec. 14 game at Klahowya in Silverdale was canceled after a winter storm negated all Sequim school activities.

Looking ahead

Sequim was scheduled to host North Kitsap in a boys-girls doubleheader on Dec. 18 — results were not available at press time.

The Wolves take on the Crosspoint Warriors on Dec. 19 and host Olympic on Dec. 21.

Sequim gets a pair of non-league road games to ring in the New Year: Jan. 2 at Anacortes and Jan. 3 at West Seattle. Sequim is at Port Angeles on Jan. 8, Kingston on Jan. 11 and Neah Bay on Jan. 14 before hosting North Mason on Jan. 15.
