Back within the friendly confines of their own gym, the Pirates found their winning ways once again.

PC got 23 points from Jalon McCullough, 16 from Darrion Daniels and 15 points apiece from Kevin Baker and Omar Lo as the No. 4-ranked Pirates (7-2, 16-5) knocked off division foe Everett 88-79 on Feb. 11, retaining their top spot in the North Region.

McCullough and the Pirates were sharp from long distance. The freshman from Fairbanks, Alaska, was 4-of-7 from 3-point range and PC was 9-of-21 (43 percent) overall.

Gio Jackson led Everett with 17.

Three days earlier, a broken water main forced the Pirates to play their conference game against Shoreline at Port Angeles High School’s gym and the Dolphins took advantage with a 58-51 upset.

It was PC’s second loss in eight conference games.

Shoreline held Peninsula to just 25 percent shooting (17-of-67) from the field and forced 15 turnovers.

Cole Rabedeaux led Peninsula with 10 points and Sam Velez had eight to lead the Pirates.

Dana Abe led Shoreline with 22 points.
