Select youth basketball team tryouts set

Sequim Youth Basketball hosts tryouts for select/travel teams for boys and girls in grades 5-8.

Tryouts for the boys 5-6 team are 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, and Monday, Oct. 16, at Sequim Middle School (301 W. Hendrickson Road), and 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 21, at Sequim High School, 601 N. Sequim Ave.

Tryouts for the boys 7-8 team are 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, and Monday, Oct. 16, at Sequim Middle School, and 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 21, at Sequim High School.

Tryouts for the girls 5-8 team are 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Sequim Middle School. If enough players are interested, SYB officials say, they will add a second tryout date for the team from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21.
