Calling all Pirates

The Peninsula College Pirates will welcome back alumni during their Alumni Appreciation Night, from4-8 p.m. at the Feb. 24 double-header in the college gym, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.

The Pirates will face off again the Edmonds Community College Tritons at home, and all card carrying alumni receive free admission. Attendees will also be entered to win PC Pirate athletic gear and will receive a PC alumni window decal.

A registration table will be set up at the event to register alumni at the game.

Hit the greens for SHS softball

The Golf for Softball fundraising tournament is set for Saturday, March 10, at SkyRidge Golf Course, 7015 Old Olympic Highway.

Cost is $50 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, range balls and lunch. Carts are $30 each.

The tourney has a 20-team maximum. Call 360-683-3673 to register a team or be added as an individual on a team.

Check-in is at 8 a.m. and the tournament starts at 9 a.m.

Funds raised go to the Sequim High School Softball Boosters Club to fund equipment, tourney fees and travel expenses for the high school team.
