Sunland golf group starts season

The Sunland Woman’s Golf Association (SWGA) held its 2019 season kickoff breakfast meeting on March 7 and added seven new members this last year, with membership in the club now standing at 55. In all, 31 members attended the luncheon.

Following breakfast, seven women braved the cold and played the opening game of the season (ONES, counting only holes beginning with O, N, E and S). Mary Kubas-Meyer and Cheryl Coulter were the winners.

The 2019 SWGA Executive Board includes: Captain, Judy Nordke; Asst. Captain, Mary Kubas-Meyer; Secretary, Sharon Maguire; Treasurer, Gail Flynn; Rules, Carin Bunney; Handicap, Dorene Berard; Nine Hole Rep, Judy Kelley, and Past Captain, Cecil Black.
