The first practice of Lincoln Park BMX’s 2019 season is set for Thursday, May 2, in Port Angeles. Practice runs from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The first race of the year is Sunday, May 5, with sign-ups set for noon-2 p.m. and racing afterward. The track’s first bike safety fair is set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, with the Port Angeles Fire Department, whose representatives will hand out free helmets (limited quantity available).

Practices are $5 per rider, $10 per family, and races are $10 per race. Membership is required but one-day free memberships are available for first-time riders.

The Lincoln Park BMX track has several new upgrades, organizers say, with a new facility approach, perimeter fence, two more paved corners, plus half the track redesigned and rebuilt for the 2019 season.
