Anglers to host ‘fish cop’

The next monthly meeting of Puget Sound Anglers-North Olympic Peninsula Chapter is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave. Local “fish cop” Kit Rosenberger will talk about, among other items, Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife enforcement staffing challenges on the Olympic Peninsula, and will answer questions from meeting attendees. Also on tap are refreshments, a members raffle for fishing gear and a membership drawing (must be present to win). The public is welcome.

The evening begins with viewing of raffle prizes and telling fish stories. The featured speaker presentation starts at 7 p.m. followed by a business meeting that includes a financial report, government relations report, upcoming events discussions and fishing reports from members.

The club meets the third Thursday of each month at Trinity United Methodist Church.

Junior golf league forming

Peninsula Golf Club in Port Angeles hosts a PGA Junior League this summer, open to boys and girls aged 16 and younger of all skill levels. Learn and play the game with coaching from PGA and LPGA pro captains, compete on teams in a two-person scramble format and more.

Practices begin June 11.
