Paddlers to host special guest

The Olympic Peninsula Paddlers welcome guest speaker Andrée Hurley, president and acting executive director of the Washington Water Trails Association, as the group’s meeting set for 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, 925 N. Sequim Ave.

Hurley will present “Learn More About Washington Water Trails, our History, Creating and Keeping Access to the Water.”

Coed volleyball league forming

The Port Angeles Parks & Recreation and City of Port Angeles hosts a coed recreational volleyball league.

Games are at Stevens Middle School in Port Angeles.

Cost is $550 per team. Registration deadline is Friday, Oct. 4. Players without a team are placed on a “free agent” list.
