There’s someone from every corner of the field going to the 2A State Track and Field meet this weekend for the Wolves.

Four boys — Murray Bingham, Riley Cowan, Riley Martin, Alex Shingleton, and five girls — Morgan Bingham, Clarisse Finman, and a relay team of Kristinna Barnet, Daisy Ryan, Emma Beeson, and Morgan Bingham — all qualified for state at the West Central 2A meet on May 19 and 20 in Renton.

They all placed in the top six to earn the chance to compete on May 25-27 at Mount Tahoma Stadium.

Morgan Bingham, a senior, qualified in three events including the 1,600 meters taking second place, 5:22.12; the 3,200 meter, taking third place, 11:56.39; and fifth with the relay at 4:21.13.

Her brother, Murray, a sophomore, runs in both the 800 meters and 1,600 meters after taking third, 2:00.31, in the 800, and first in the 1,600 with a time of 5:22.12.

Martin competes in two hurdle events after taking sixth in the 110-meters, 15.79, and third in the 300-meter hurdles (41.58).

Shingleton will also compete in the 800 meters after placing fourth (2:01.03). Cowan threw his way to third place in the javelin (161-5) too.

Sequim’s Clarisse Finman will compete in the discus for the girls throwing a 101-10 for third place in Renton.
