Lock it in: the Pirates are bound for the postseason.

Peninsula secured a postseason berth with a convincing, 79-60 win against Bellevue on Feb. 19, getting big-time efforts from Anaya Rodisha (26 points) and Alicia Dugan (23 points).

Rodisha and Dugan hit four 3-pointers apiece.

Jenise McKnight added 18 points for PC, who out-scored the host Bulldogs in each quarter and scored 22 points off of Bellevue miscues.

Erin Hamilton led No. 6-ranked Bellevue with 14 points.

The win gave No. 7-ranked Peninsula (9-2, 17-7) a 2-0 week, coming four days after a 76-66 road victory at Olympic.

Dugan hit for 21 points, Milan Barnes sank three 3-pointers off the bench and despite a rough night from the floor (4-of-16), Rodisha had 13 points, seven rebounds and two steals in the victory.

McKnight added 12 points.

PC forced 25 Ranger turnovers, capitalizing for 20 points.

Peninsula raced to a 21-7 lead after one quarter and held Olympic at bay the rest of the way.

Libby Borgonia led four Rangers in double figures with 13 points and five steals.

Looking ahead

Peninsula plays host to region co-leader Skagit Valley on Feb. 22 before capping the regular season with two road games: at Edmonds on Feb. 25 and at Whatcom on March 1.

The NWAC tournament is slated for March 9-12 for round-of-16 and quarterfinal games, with the semifinals, finals and all star game on tap for March 18-19. All games are at Everett Community College.
