The Wolves were swept by their Olympic Peninsula counterparts, falling 62-12 to Port Angeles, 64-24 to Port Townsend and 70-12 to Forks’ Spartans, the tourney champions.

Sequim’s Ben Newell went 2-1 for the Wolves, including a pin of Port Angeles’ Jackson Larson, while Jamie Schroepfer had a pin against PA’s Nate Harrelson. Kiara Pierson, ranked No. 6 in the state by Washington Wrestling Report at 135 pounds, wrestled tough matches against Forks and Port Angeles foes and earned a win against Port Townsend.

Sequim hosts the All-Comers tournament on Saturday, Jan. 27, and the sub-regional tournament on Saturday, Feb. 3.
