Youth soccer: Storm King secures NPSL division title

The Storm King U17 boys soccer squad saw a nine-game unbeaten streak end on Dec. 3 against Seattle United West, but one week later started another streak — and captured the North Puget Sound League’s Boys U17 Division crown — with a 6-1 win over Crossfire Select out of Redmond. The victory caps Storm King’s league record at 10-1-1. The team’s overall record is 20-1-1, including the summer tournaments. The team will now compete in the year-end “State Cup” with teams drawn from other leagues as far south as Vancouver, Wa.
