Winterfest, the annual fundraiser to support winter sports at Hurricane Ridge, will be from 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Elise Beuke, a 2015 Sequim High School graduate and freshman at the University of Washington, helped her four-woman squad take first in the Women’s Collegiate/Open 4+ division at the Head of the Lake Regatta on Nov. 8.
Former SHS cross country standout Adrian Clifford is still running strong. The Linfield College (McMinnville, Ore.) junior raced to an 18th place finish at the Northwest Conference championships on Oct. 31, hosted by Pacific Lutheran University.
