P.E.O. chapters raise funds
P.E.O. Chapter JC in Sequim, one of 13 chapters on the Olympic Peninsula, will hold a Halloween bazaar, bake sale and quilt raffle from
9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Pioneer Memorial Park, 387 E. Washington St., Sequim.
Sale items include an array of handmade crafts and gifts, lavender items, wine glasses and mugs, cookbooks, tiles, cutting boards and knives, white elephants and homemade baked goods.
Chapters JC, FY, HM and HZ from Sequim and chapters BZ, FM and HG from Port Angeles are participating.
Chapter JC also is selling raffle tickets for a 70-inch by 80-inch quilt that member Esther Alward made and donated. Her original design includes green six-pointed stars topped by floral-filled lavender squares. The reverse side is yellow with a subtle daisy pattern. The quilt fits either a twin or double bed.
Raffle tickets are $5 each. Only 100 tickets will be sold. The drawing will be held Dec. 13 at the Chapter JC meeting. The winner need not be present.
Proceeds from the bazaar will help support educational opportunities for women.
