Sequim seniors seek donations

Sequim Senior Activity Center is accepting donations of quality and gently used items for its fourth-annual benefit sale Aug. 6-7 to raise funds for the center and for scholarships for local high school students.

This year’s goal is $20,000.

Items that sell well include furniture in excellent condition, jewelry, cell phones, cameras, lenses, musical instruments, stamp and coin collections, plants, bicycles and kitchen items.

Other suggested items are microwaves and computers less than 5 years old, tools, sets of china, camping equipment, clothing and shoes in excellent condition.

Only the flat-panel types of TVs and computer monitors are being accepted. No mattresses, stuffed animals or Christmas items.

Items may be brought to the center, 921 E. Hammond St., from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays,

For large items, call 683-6806 to arrange for pick-up by a volunteer driver.

Donors should get items to SSAC by July 30. Donations are tax deductible.

Storage space has been donated by All-Safe Mini Storage.

SSAC, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, also accepts donations of running cars, RVs, boats and trailers year-round. For more information, call 683-6806.
