Lions reach out to veterans

The Sequim Valley Lions Club is offering local veterans a special opportunity to serve their community.

The “Involve a U.S. Veteran” program is a nationwide initiative sponsored by Lions Club International that offers qualified veterans an entrance fee waiver when joining a local Lions Club.

Eligible veterans include active, retired or honorably discharged members from all branches of the service. Call Lion Betty Wilkeron at 461-6090 or e-mail her at bettymw@hotmail.com.

The club meets at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Thursdays at the Paradise Restaurant in Sequim.
