History Tales to feature ‘Hands on History’ student presentations

The North Olympic History Center/Clallam County Historical Society hosts the second-annual Hands on History presentations at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at the Lincoln Center, 905 W. Ninth St., Port Angeles.

This is a change of venue for the April History Tales presentation.

This year, nine students will be sharing their research about a topic central to the history of Clallam County. This is an opportunity to learn more about such topics as the Port Angeles Opera House; the Spotted Owl Controversy; the Spruce Division Railroad; the 1893 Depression and the Lasting Legacy of G.M. Lauridsen; Sequim Railroad Park; Minerva Troy and the Arts, and Skiing in the Olympics.

Participants will be on hand to share what they have learned and chat with attendees.

History Tales is free and the community is welcome. Community members are encouraged to bring friends and family to support and encourage these students in their research. Light refreshments will be served.
