Clallam County Fire District 3 has announced that Stephanie (Gates) Anderson was promoted to career lieutenant at a ceremony Sept. 25 at Station 34.

According to a press release, the selection process involves written exams, oral interviews and mock incidents.

Anderson was sworn in by Chief Ben Andrews and had her new rank insignia pinned on by her husband, Travis Anderson, and her parents, Penny and Curt Gates.
