VHOCC to host in-person volunteer orientation

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County (VHOCC), a local nonprofit that serves communities from Joyce to Diamond Point, hosts a community orientation, open to anyone wanting to learn more about hospice or curious about volunteering, 10-11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, at 829 E. Eighth St., Port Angeles.

No registration is necessary, but all attendees must wear a mask.

VHOCC continually monitors and follows COVID-19 guidelines from the CDC, State of Washington, and Clallam County. VHOCC continually monitors and follows county, state and federal guidelines, and volunteer activities have been adjusted according.

However, there is still a need for equipment delivery drivers and helpers in Sequim and Port Angeles and Sequim; a VHOCC vehicle is provided.

There is also a need for front desk volunteers at the Port Angeles office to answer phones and respond to requests from the community (training is provided).
