Auditions set for OTA’s ‘Living Dead’

Olympic Theatre Arts will be hosting auditions for the second-annual “Night of the Living Dead” fall production. Roles are open to actors of any race, identifying gender, and those 12 years of age or older. This stage adaptation of the classic horror film “Night of the Living Dead” is set during the 2020 pandemic.

“Step into a world grappling with lock-downs, fear, and uncertainty, where a group of strangers seeks refuge in a nearby house from violent, flesh-eating undead,” play organizers note. “As the night unfolds, they discover that the real horror may not lie in the virus or the mysterious violence spreading across the country, but within themselves.”

Audition times are: noon on Sunday, Aug, 20; 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, and 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25. For more information, visit olympictheatrearts.org.

Dirty Cello to play at Field Arts & Events Hall

Hailing from San Francisco, Dirty Cello brings a blend of blues, rock and Americana, led by Rebecca Roudman, whose playing earned multiple standing ovations at the 2023 JFFA Festival.
