See how local art is created — up close, and from the artists themselves — at the second-annual Strait from the Artists Studio Tour, set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 11-12, at various studios in Sequim, Gardiner and Port Angeles.

Strait from the Artists Studio Tour is a self-guided, free and open to the public, tour of multiple artist studios and exhibition spaces. Attendees can visit, view, and learn directly from the artists about their creative processes.

This year’s participating artists include: Christopher Allen of Bottleworks451 Recycled Art; Mary Beth Beuke of West Coast Sea Glass; Renne Emiko Brock of hue are you?; Ross Brown and Sharman Owings of Owings/Brown Studios; Jinx Bryant of Jinx Bryant; Roberta Cooper of Gorgeous Gourds; Diane Fatzinger of Sticks ‘n Stones Designs; Lizbeth Harper of Expressions in Glass; Jennifer Harris of Terra Felta; Deborah Anne Harrison of Deborah Anne Harrison Designs; Brian Knapp of Hide Forge Leather; Gloria Knapp of Gloria Knapp Studio; Anne Milligan of A. Milligan Art Studio & Gallery; Keith Ross of Keith’s Frame of Mind, and Jean Wyatt of J Wyatt Art.

Art forms represented by these artists include mixed media sculptures and assemblages, painting, fiber arts, ceramics, photography, paper art, leathercraft, glass art, pastels, sea glass jewelry, gourds and upcycle art.

“Our goal as enterprising creatives with the studio tour is provide an opportunity for folks to engage directly with the artists and the spaces that they create in,” said Renne Emiko Brock, Strait from the artists director.
