Sequim’s Raimey Brewer tees off at the first hole at The Cedars at Dungeness in an Olympic League match against Bainbridge on March 21. Brewer qualified for the class 2A state golf tournament at a district tournament last week in Auburn.

Sequim’s Raimey Brewer earned a spot at the state tournament after posting a top-five score at the West Central Bi-District tourney in Auburn on May 14.

Brewer took fourth place overall, and joins teammates Ava Johnson and Emily Post at the class 2A state tourney at Liberty Lake Golf Course on May 21 and 22.

Johnson and Post finished second and fifth overall at the league tournament on May 6 for automatic berths.

SHS’s Sara German tied for 10th at the district meet, missing a start berth by five spots and a state alternate position by three.

Sequim’s Adrian Aragon qualified for the boys’ district tourney but did not finish in the top eight(six state qualifiers, two alternates).

Final scores were not available from the competition at the par-72 course.

Drenyn Chittenden of Washington took the boys district title while Emily Alicea of Enumclaw won the girls’ title.
