Cathy Jean Gillett

February 20, 1954 – July 26, 2025

Catherine Jean “Cathy” Gillett of Sequim, Washington, passed away peacefully in her home on July 26, 2025. She was 71.

Cathy was born February 20, 1954, in Los Angeles, California, one of three children to Harvey Ted and Mary Jane (Shay) Gillett. She grew up in Orange, California and spent much of her career as a computer programmer. After retirement, she worked at Pondicherry in Sequim, WA.

Cathy enjoyed camping at Jack Ass Meadows in California, as an annual event with family and friends and many summers at Shaw’s Cove in Laguna Beach, CA. She was an artist and enjoyed painting with her painting friends. She also enjoyed her Saturday lunch group of friends and loved her birds. Cathy was a talented musician and soloist who enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in the church choir for many years.

Cathy was always full of jokes and laughs and her humor will be greatly missed. She leaves behind many friends and her pet parrots. Cathy was the last member of her family line, being preceded in death by both parents and brothers Tom and Dennis Gillett.

Cathy was laid to rest next to her father at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, California.
